I am thrilled to announce that our classroom has received a Youth Service grant from State Farm and Disney for $1000! With these grants, we will be working with a local non profit called Table. The program provides free meals for
at risk children in the community. For more information

We are so excited to participate in this creative educational project that helps develop reading and writing skills, while intergrating technology, science, and arts related lessons.
The Coleman campers are teamed up with a 4th grade class in Toronto, Canada. Both classes are creating monsters that have at least 4 animal parts. This ties in well with our Science Animal Adaptations unit. The original drawings are scanned and imported into KidPix so the students can add fun details. The students will then write detailed descriptions of their monsters, which we will email our partner class, so they can try and replicate our original drawings.
We can't wait to see what they come up with, based on our written descriptions. Eventually, we are going to create habitats for the creatures too! Check out the Monster Exchange website for more information!
